FFTSE official events

In conjunction with Australia’s only dedicated tile and stone expo, FFTSE are arranging numerous official and informative events to be held over the duration of the exhibition and we invite all exhibitors and industry representatives to attend.

You have to eat somewhere so why not take the time to relax and engage with your peers in an informative and entertaining environment.

Held at the Dome or located within short walking distance, events such as 'FFTSE Rocks', Press Lunch, Architect's Reception, Architect Lunch, and Gala Dinner are all part of an exciting events programme designed to bring like minded people together under the one roof.

The award winning Sydney Showground offer quality food and beverage service, with their catering philosophy emphasising fresh seasonal local produce and reflecting the colour, excellence and diversity of Australia's culture and produce.

FFTSE is much more than a showcase for the latest fashions in tile and stone. Education is also a key component of these events with industry leaders presenting on an array of subjects at various events.

The Full Frontal Tile and Stone Exhibition Gala Dinner is an opportunity for all who have contributed to the exhibition to come together and mark the significant achievements of the inaugural event. The Gala Dinner will also provide the opportunity to acknowledge outstanding individuals or organisations who have made a great contribution to the Exhibition. Awards recognised on the evening include Best New Product, Best Stand, FFTSE Commercial Tiling Award and Australian Stone Architectural Awards.

A three course banquet featuring presentation of the FFTSE Commercial Tiling Awards to the award winning architect who will receive a travel and accommodation packing to visit Cersaie (Bologna) and Marmomacc (Verona) Italy, the world's leading international tile and stone expos.

Local and international tile and stone association representatives meet the press and answer exhibitor and visitor questions. Gary Distelhorst, CEO of the Marble Institute of America will deliver a paper entitled "Helping an Industry Succeed".

Andrew Mackenzie, Editor-in-Chief of Architectural Review Australia, reflects on the interface between architectural practice and the world of magazine publishing.

Andrew will be joined by architect Bostjan Vuga of Sadar Vuga Arhitekti, a practice which has earned a variety of international achievement awards.

To set the scene for FFTSE, an informal welcome reception will be held in area 1822 located a short distance from the Dome. Come along and mingle with your fellow exhibitors during or after the arduous task of move-in is complete. This will be your first opportunity to reacquaint with old friends and colleagues and meet new people within the industry. Ease yourself into exhibition mode and enjoy a BBQ and refreshments on us!

High on the list of 'must see' people, FFTSE will attract a high number of architects and have arranged an evening where they are invited to roam the Dome floor and view the latest products and trends available.

Easily recognised by a blue pass and wristband, assist in attracting the architects to your stand and entertain them with light refreshments whilst showing your latest products.

Tile Fixers BBQ - Saturday 19th April 2008

Venue: 1822 @ 1.30 pm
Gourmet BBQ. Drinks available at bar prices.
$45.00 per person.

The Tile Fixer’s Lunch will consist of a gourmet BBQ lunch in support of the tile fixers who have competed in the FFTSE Special Tiling Exhibit over the duration of the exhibition. The winners of the competition will be announced at 2.00 pm.
